Penguin Party
Penguin Party is PvP party game where you have to knock other penguins off the breaking ice platform and be the last penguin standing.
Contributions
As the project lead, I coordinated the development process by managing deadlines, organizing tasks, and maintaining clear communication between the programming and art teams. My focus was on ensuring the project stayed on track both technically and creatively.
Programming-wise I did:
Implemented core gameplay mechanics including player bouncing, ice breaking, ice tilting.
Implemented physics and spawning of the fish.
Implemented all of the VFX and animations.
Setup the AI for the whale.
Implemented the main menu, selection screen, loading screen and pause screen.
Implemented the in-game HUD.
Fixed bugs and optimized performance.

This game was created in a team of 6 people during a 12 week period for the Game Development course at Howest - Digital Arts and Entertainment.
